I had a friend ask me to make a cake for her family party. They were celebrating a few birthdays at once. She decided that the BBQ theme was what she wanted. She made the cake and brought it over and I came up with this. I used gum paste to make the food on top. It looked so real. I put the hot dog on a plate with some real ones and showed my husband. He said " what am I looking at hot dogs for? " He couldn't even tell which one wasn't real. The charcoal looked like it was really burning. This got me excited to try more things.
